Cannons go in your ship's slots; each adds its damage and rate of fire to the broadside. Buy as many of a kind as you have slots. Gold guns are for every captain; the Dragon and Kraken guns are elite, bought with crystals.

The broadside is the sum of every fitted gun; the captain's level and the Gunnery skill raise it. Captain skills
Rate of fire is the average of the fitted guns: mixing kinds lands in between.
The shot you load changes damage and reload: Ammo
Gold guns sell for half their price; crystal guns give back half the crystals paid.
